An Atlanta Housewife may soon be taking over the ballroom!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes is in talks to join the cast of Dancing With the Stars for the upcoming 18th season.
NeNe would be the second Real Housewives star to appear on the series. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump finished in 11th place during the 16th season.
In addition to starring on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the Athens, Georgia native scored reoccurring acting roles in Ryan Murphy‘s sitcoms The New Normal and Glee.
The full cast for the upcoming season will be revealed on Tuesday, March 4th, on Good Morning America, with the new season premiering Monday, March 17.
The Miami Design Preservation League has dropped their lawsuit trying to prevent the demolition of a Star Island home owned by The Real Housewives of Miami cast member Lisa Hochstein and her plastic surgeon husband, Leonard.
According to the Miami Herald, the Hochsteins have also agreed to drop their countersuit.
The couple bought the home at a foreclosure auction for $7.6 million in late 2012. The couple’s plans to demolish the home and re-build on the property were put on hold after the Historic Preservation Board of Miami Beach attempted to deem the home a “Historical Landmark.”
That battle ended last month when the final decision on home’s historical value was ruled inconsequential. The couple plans on demolishing the house and rebuilding their dream home: a 20,000-square-foot estate, complete with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a game room, wine cellar, and movie theater.
Phaedra Parks has lost her spin-off deal with Bravo! According to talk show host Wendy Williams, The Real Housewives of Atlanta spin-off has been cancelled because of her husband’s legal troubles.
“Phaedra and Apollo were doing a spin-off show, which is called Rich People’s Problems, and it was supposed to premiere later on this year,” Wendy said on her self titled talk show. “Now that Apollo’s facing up to 30 years in prison, for bank fraud and identity theft — Bravo wants to wash their hands of that little spin-off show.”
Apollo Nida was reportedly charged in January by federal authorities with complaints of bank fraud and identity theft. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Apollo allegedly created fake companies and fraudulently opened bank accounts to take out loans using stolen identities.
Teresa and Joe Giudice, stars of Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, may have reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors that could land them behind bars.
The couple will appear before U.S. District Judge Esther Salas on Tuesday to plead guilty to fraud charges, a source told ABC News. Teresa Giudice could face a minimum of two years in prison and Joe could face a minimum of three years.
Additionally, Joe Giudice could face deportation, as it recently emerged that he is not a US Citizen.
Teresa and Joe were indicted this past summer on numerous counts of federal fraud and tax charges. The indictment details charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications, and bankruptcy fraud.
The indictment document accuses Joe Giudice of failing to file tax returns for 2004 through 2008 and states that Joe and Teresa falsely informed lenders on loan application that they were employed and/or receiving substantial salaries when in fact, they were not.
Added to that, Juicy Joe is currently awaiting trial for a separate matter. Joe allegedly impersonated his brother, Pete Giudice, to illegally obtain a driver’s license after his own was suspended for a DWI back in 2010. He can face up to 10 years in prison for those charges alone.
Joe’s rap sheet expanded even further late last year after being pulled over by police twice in one month. Back in November, Joe was cited by police for driving carelessly in a school zone. He was also ticketed for driving without an inspection sticker on his vehicle and not having a valid insurance card.

Speaking of New Jersey legal woes, last week we reported that Kim DePaola, aka Kim D , was being sued by jewelry designer Constantino Frangopolous for allegedly stealing his designs. Frangopolous claims he lent the RHONJ co star jewelry to wear on the show and then she subsequently ripped them off. According to Reality Tea Kim responded in a statement saying that not only has she secured an attorney and is countersuing for “punitive damages”, but that she has never even met Frangopolous.
